We, Patty en René van den Berg, are the managing couple of Bøflaten Camping in Vang. We will do this together with our children Sharon and Tom.
After spending several of summer holidays in Norway, we decided to take a chance and we to emigrate from Holland to this beautiful country.
We are extremely lucky starting a campground which is situated at a beautiful lake of Vangsmjøsa, among wonderful mountains and beautiful nature. Not only do we want to use the campground to full potential, but we enjoy giving our guests a pleasant stay.
Campers can use our facilities in various ways. We have 15 original Norwegian Cabins, 1 apartment with shower and toilet and a large recreation area with access to electricity points.
The campground provides a well maintained sanitary building. In addition, to the ladies and gentleman unit, there is also a shower and toilet unit designed for handicapped access. Inside the building we provided a central kitchen, with several electric cooking plates and a deep freezer. There is a separate space for the laundry which includes a dryer.
From our campground, there are different possibilities for daytrips. We recommend the national park “Jotunheimen” with the summit hiking trip “Besseggen”. Furthermore, a visit to Beitostolen is worth while. In the winter season, the ski area Filefjell is a 20 minute drive and a trip with sledge dogs can also be arranged.
The campground has a small shop. In the morning there will be fresh baked bread waiting for you. We also sell any of the necessary equipment you might need in order to create a beautiful meal down by the lake.
We live on the campground itself, which allows us to provide the quality and level of service which helps make your holiday more enjoyable. If you have any questions outside opening hours, we can always be reached.
